Join CVM as an Operations Manager at Logan North Aquatic Centre and help lead a vibrant community hub. You’ll work closely with the Facility Manager, lead our team, enhance the customer experience, and ensure every part of the centre operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing pool plant operations, daily checks, and water quality management
- Leading lifeguards and duty managers and supporting all staff as part of the leadership team
- Monitoring aquatic supervision standards and ensuring safe supervision modes
- Supporting the Facility Manager with rostering and administrative tasks
- Keeping the venue clean, organised and presented to a high standard
- Responding to first aid needs and emergency situations with confidence
- Assisting with customer enquiries, complaints and general patron support
- Supporting sales activity across Learn To Swim, squads, and memberships
- Helping run staff training sessions across aquatic safety, customer service, and pool plant
About You
This hands on role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the pool deck, responding quickly to what the day brings, and keeping our future olympic site running at a high standard. You'll also bring:
- Availability to work at least 1 day at the weekend across opens and closes
- A strong understanding of lifeguarding, supervision requirements, and aquatic safety
- Solid knowledge of pool plant operations including troubleshooting and corrective action
- The ability to work across lifeguarding, duty management, and leadership responsibilities as needed
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work positively with staff, patrons, schools and community groups
- Excellent time management and the ability to stay organised in a quick paced environment
- Previous aquatic or leisure facility experience is preferred
