Bianco Italian Cuisine & Bar is Caloundra's newest dining destination, offering modern Italian cuisine, a premium bar program and an elevated yet welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for an experienced Bartender/Sommelier to join our opening team and help shape an exceptional beverage experience for our guests.
About the Role
We're seeking a hospitality professional with strong bar skills and a passion for wine, cocktails, and guest service. Your main location will be in Caloundra (4551), with the option to also take additional shifts at our sister venue Il Vento in Mooloolaba (4557), offering variety and development across our venues.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard
* Provide knowledgeable wine recommendations and food pairings
* Manage wine service including decanting, proper glassware selection, and presentation
* Maintain bar mise-en-place, stock levels, and cleanliness
* Assist in maintaining and updating the wine list as needed
* Engage with guests professionally and warmly to enhance their experience
* Support floor operations as required during service
* Follow RSA guidelines and uphold venue safety standards
* Contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2 years experience in a bar, wine bar, or restaurant with strong beverage focus
* Sound wine knowledge; WSET or sommelier training highly regarded
* Confident in cocktail making and classic techniques
* Excellent communication and guest service skills
* Strong attention to detail and presentation
* Ability to work evenings and weekends
* A genuine passion for hospitality and modern Italian dining

Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
