Position Descriptor:
Yalata Anangu School is part of a remote Aboriginal Community in the Anangu Lands Partnership and is situated on the Far West Coast approx. 200 kilometres west of Ceduna on the edge of the Nullarbor Plain in South Australia. The school has a strong focus on developing oral literacy and phonological awareness, reading and writing, together with developing social and emotional school readiness. The school has established strong transitions from preschool to school.
This position is for a Senior School Teacher, in a preschool to year 12 school. They will work collaboratively in a team-teaching arrangement with another secondary teacher to support the school's senior students. The applicant will be an effective communicator with a strong understanding of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). They will play a key role in fostering positive relationships within the school and broader community, actively engaging with local organisations and employers to help create meaningful job and career opportunities for students. They will be actively engaged in the junior ranger programme connecting it with SACE outcomes. A commitment to teamwork, SACE, student development, and community collaboration is essential for this role.

In addition to the salary, the following financial incentives apply:
