Overview
CityWest KidsCafe in West Perth, WA is seeking an experienced Cafe Kitchen Cook and Barista to join our dynamic team. This is a casual role with flexible hours, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking a work-life balance. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality meals and beverages for our cafe customers.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of cafe-style meals, snacks and treats using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
* Operate and maintain coffee machines to prepare a range of coffee beverages to a consistently high standard
* Ensure kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, tidy and comply with all health and safety regulations
* Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies as needed
* Provide exceptional customer service and a positive dining experience for all cafe patrons
* Work collaboratively with the cafe team to support the overall operations of the business
Qualifications
* Minimum 1-2 years\' experience as a café/restaurant cook or barista
* Strong working knowledge of food preparation, coffee making and barista skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
* Passion for creating delicious, high-quality food and beverages
* Adaptable and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
* Food safety and hygiene certification or willingness to obtain
