We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group in Brisbane. In this role you will collaborate closely with our Civil and Hydrotechnical team to deliver water resources and hydrotechnical solutions across the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
* Lead water balance modelling for the team.
* Expand Hatch's mine water management project portfolio.
* Liaise with clients to understand their needs and identify how we can assist.
* Write and review technical reports.
* Write and review proposals.
* Train, mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
* Provide input to engineering, operating and cost estimates.
About You
You bring a strong technical foundation in civil and environmental engineering, supported by a recognised tertiary qualification and over 10 years' experience delivering complex water-focused projects while engaging confidently with clients. Your expertise spans areas such as flood and groundwater modelling, hydrogeology, geomorphology, climate change impact assessments, spillway, waterway and dam safety design, dam break assessments, sediment transport analysis, water supply, effluent treatment, flood warning systems, stormwater and water quality management—including Water Sensitive Urban Design elements such as sediment basins and wetlands. You also have complementary civil engineering experience in road and pavement design and preparation of bills of quantities. Ideally, you are RPEQ and CPEng accredited (or working towards this) and bring extensive experience in GoldSim modelling. You are recognised for your clear written and verbal communication, strong time‐management skills, and ability to adapt across multiple priorities.
