Overview
We are a busy, modern dental practice focused on delivering high-quality patient care across general dentistry, orthodontics, and periodontal maintenance. Our team values efficiency, collaboration, and a positive patient experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Oral Health Therapist (OHT) to support our dentists across multiple rooms. This is a hands-on clinical role combining orthodontic support, preventive care, and chairside assistance. You will play a key role in improving workflow and patient outcomes. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Assist dentists chairside across multiple treatment rooms
* Prepare and greet patients prior to treatment
* Administer local anesthesia within scope (where appropriate)
* Take intraoral photos, OPG, lateral ceph, and PA ceph X-rays
* Take primary impressions
* Perform Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) and preventive treatments
* Assist with orthodontic workflows and referrals
* Use Dental Monitoring (DM) for orthodontic cases
* Carry out Hall Technique in paediatric patients
* Support CBCT imaging (if qualified or willing to train)
Qualifications
* Qualified Oral Health Therapist (AHPRA registered)
* Current WA radiation licence
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Willingness to learn and grow clinically (essential)
* Interest in orthodontics and digital dentistry
* ABN required for contractor arrangement
Desirable Experience
* Experience with Dental Monitoring software
* Experience in orthodontics or imaging
* CBCT certification
* Experience with Guided Biofilm Therapy
