Active engagement across the region helps inform the University's approach and drives greater impact in Albury-Wodonga and surrounding areas.
The role provides strategic advice and support to the Head of Campus, the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, and other internal stakeholders to guide local partnerships and initiatives that contribute to broader University objectives.
La Trobe plays a leading role in contributing to regional economic development, particularly through initiatives that respond to workforce needs in sectors including but not limited to health and community services.
Reporting to the Head of Campus, the Stakeholder and Engagement Advisor Albury-Wodonga leads the identification, development, and delivery of initiatives that align regional priorities with the University's strategic goals.
Grounded in a strong understanding of the local context, the role is responsible for the scoping, co-design and implementation of opportunities for collaboration across the campus and broader University, supporting delivery of goals and key actions in the University strategy as well as key strategies, namely the Regional Growth and Innovation Strategy ****, Research and Innovation **** Strategy and the Indigenous Strategy.
This role is key to strengthening La Trobe's integration within the region, driving relevant and innovative place-based engagement.
By fostering collaborative partnerships, it extends the reach and visibility of both the University and its partners, drawing on La Trobe's broad expertise and capabilities.
The position also enhances student experiences through applied learning and supports meaningful research, innovation and engagement outcomes.
The Stakeholder and Engagement Advisor Albury-Wodonga contributes to a whole-of-university approach to regional engagement, working closely with counterparts at the Shepparton, Bendigo and Mildura campuses, as well as with academic and professional staff across the organisation.
These connections strengthen La Trobe's collective impact in regional communities and reinforce the value and interconnectedness of its multi-campus network.

Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have A degree with substantial extension of the theories and principles, learned through experience; or a range of management experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
Effective communication skills and the ability to manage both internal and external relationships to achieve stated outcomes.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in liaising with staff at all levels of an organisation, negotiating effective outcomes, consultation, motivation, and facilitation to achieve team objectives.
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify, develop and maintain a portfolio of business and partnership opportunities.
Ability to work with partners in a cross-border context to develop and deliver initiatives that add value to various student cohorts, research projects and to further integrate the Albury-Wodonga campus into the community.
Ability to provide advice and guidance to La Trobe researchers to achieve mutually beneficial research partnerships, both in relation to the Albury-Wodonga based research centres and more broadly across the university.
