Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer Part-Time 30 hrs/wk | School-Friendly Hours | Permanent
BCP Group is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join us 30 hours a week, with hours that can be structured around school times. It's a permanent role — not casual — and we're after someone with a solid accounting background who's ready to get stuck in.
About BCP Group
BCP Group is a well‐established civil contracting group based in Busselton, operating across civil construction, plant hire, sand extraction, demolition, and traffic management throughout the South West of WA. We're a close‐knit team with a strong reputation in the region, and we offer stability, variety, and a genuinely supportive place to work.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper or Accounts Officer to join us on a part‐time basis — 30 hours per week, with hours that can be structured to suit school‐time commitments. The role is based at our Bunbury premises, with occasional travel to our Busselton head office. You'll be a key part of our accounts function, keeping our books accurate and our financial processes running smoothly across multiple entities within the Group.
What You'll Be Doing
* Day‐to‐day bookkeeping across multiple entities within the Group
* Accounts payable and receivable processing
* Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
* Weekly payroll processing
* Preparation of monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
* Maintaining weekly cash flows across entities
* Statutory lodgements including BAS, PAYG, and superannuation
* Maintaining asset and lease registers
* Supporting audit preparation and policy documentation updates
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role (minimum 3 years)
* A solid accounting background with strong foundational knowledge across the full accounts function
* Intermediate Excel skills — comfortable with formulas, reconciliations, and financial reporting
* Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
* Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
* Good communication skills and a team‐first attitude
* Experience in construction, civil, or transport industries (advantageous but not essential)
* Accounting qualifications or bookkeeping certificate (preferred but not essential)
Why Join Us?
* Permanent role with genuine stability in a well‐regarded South West business
* Friendly, supportive team where your contribution is genuinely valued
* Variety across multiple business entities and industries
* Competitive remuneration based on your experience
* 30‐hour week with flexible scheduling to suit school‐time hours
* Work close to home in Bunbury — no long commutes
