Responsibilities
* Active participation in the analysis of investment proposals.
* Build and review detailed financial models and highlight key points of the investment thesis, including performing sensitivity analyses, reviewing financial projections and valuation assumptions.
* Provide valuation guidance of potential investments using appropriate methodologies (discounted cash flow, multiples, etc.).
* Perform in‐depth due diligence of investment opportunities.
* Lead the drafting of investment proposals for new opportunities.
* Assist senior collaborators in the negotiation of trade agreements, ownership structure, and investment advice.
* Contribute to the development of business and strategic plans of CDPQ Australia.
* Proactively monitor financial and operational indicators and financial reports of portfolio companies.
* Issue recommendations on key industry trends and strategic issues of prospective portfolio companies to enhance portfolio value.
* Prepare internal and external reports on portfolio companies according to the expected timetable.
* Perform extensive research on industry trends and fundamentals related to the covered sector, proactively following market news and collecting information from relevant sources.
* Produce detailed analysis on key infrastructure sector challenges and recommend strategies for implementation.
* Develop sectoral studies on potential target markets.
* Create effective tools for research and market surveillance.

What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or accounting.
* Master's in Finance, MBA or CFA considered an asset.
* Minimum of three to five years of experience in investing, corporate finance or investment banking, in the infrastructure and project finance industries.
* Solid experience in financial analysis and modelling.
* Proficient in MS Office suite and financial market tools (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.).
* Excellent English skills, written and verbal.
* Knowledge of French considered an asset.
* Australian citizen or permanent resident preferred.
