Sunripe is a family‐owned agribusiness and Australia's largest producer of field‐grown snacking tomatoes. With multiple farms and a state‐of‐the‐art packing facility, we supply supermarkets nationwide year‐round. While we're best known for our premium tomatoes, our range has expanded to include capsicums, zucchinis, and melons.

Summary

The QC Officers are responsible for operational quality control activities to ensure products are sorted and packed correctly according to company standards. This role involves inspecting produce quality, verifying that products have been properly graded and sorted, and ensuring all labels on punnets are accurate and compliant. The QC Officer works closely with packing teams to maintain quality standards, minimise errors, and ensure products are ready for dispatch. Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast‐paced operational environment are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepares appropriate machinery and equipment for daily pack out.
* Calibrates QC scales prior to first box check.
* Monitors product quality and ensures product is graded according to specifications.
* Checks each box, crate and punnet that is inspected has packed on / used‐by date printed on packaging.
* Records inspections on pack line inspection schedules, ensuring all sections are completed.
* Continuously monitors the stock being packed and records findings on QC database system.
* Monitors process bins, seconds & waste to determine if grading is correct.
* Notifies offenders when incorrect grading is occurring.
* Advises shed supervisor when retraining is necessary.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

* Willingness to rotate between different roles and areas of the business.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Flexibility and adaptability to change in a fast‐paced environment.
* Great communication skills and a positive, can‐do attitude.
* Previous experience in food processing, packing, or sorting (preferred but not essential).
