About the Role

We are seeking a technically capable Sales Specialist with a strong electrical, instrumentation & control (EIC) background to join our team, based in Hobart.

This is a highly engaged, customer‐facing role where you will partner directly with industrial clients to understand their operational challenges and develop practical, fit‐for‐purpose solutions. Working alongside our internal engineering teams and supported by a strong network of product partners, you will take ownership of opportunities from initial engagement through to delivery.

Success in this role is built on your ability to combine technical insight with commercial awareness, consistently identifying and delivering opportunities that meet customer needs and drive strong outcomes.

This role will suit someone who:

* Enjoys being on site and building relationships face‐to‐face with customers
* Is confident operating in industrial environments and engaging with operational teams
* Takes ownership of opportunities and is motivated to see solutions through to completion

About You

To succeed in this role, you bring a combination of technical capability, commercial awareness, and a proactive, solutions‐focused mindset.

You are someone who enjoys solving problems, taking initiative, and working closely with customers to deliver positive, practical outcomes.

You will bring:

* A strong understanding of process instrumentation, including flow, level, pressure, motor control and analytical systems
* Proven experience in technical sales within electrical, instrumentation or industrial automation environments
* The ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into practical, fit‐for‐purpose technical solutions
* A proactive, self‐driven approach to take ownership of challenges and drive outcomes through to completion
* Strong problem‐solving skills and the confidence to engage with both technical and operational stakeholders
* A genuine interest in working with industrial clients and site‐based environments, with a willingness to spend time in the field
* Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills, with the ability to build trust and long‐term partnerships
* Strong time management and the ability to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining quality and follow‐through
* A current driver's licence and a desire to engage face‐to‐face with customers
