Job Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Store Manager Assistant to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the team in our Bendigo store and working closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coach a small team to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service
* Provide expert advice on product selection and technical support to customers
* Buid strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive business growth
* Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management systems
* Process transactions efficiently and effectively
* Make local deliveries to trade customers as required
* Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation
Requirements
* Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching, developing, and mentoring teams
* Previous experience working as a 2IC in a retail or sales environment
* Strong people and customer engagement skills with a genuine desire to deliver outstanding service
* Technical knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems or equivalent technical aptitude
* Experience with stock handling and merchandising
* Effective time management and planning capabilities
* Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively
