Role
The role: Cater Care is seeking to appoint a trade-qualified chef to work alongside the Chef Manager in preparing exceptional food at one of our key aged care sites in Kingscliff. The area offers a relaxed lifestyle, vibrant local cafés, and easy access to both nature and nearby urban amenities on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Join our team in a supportive environment where your culinary skills make a real difference every day.
Roster
Saturday, Sunday: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm. Monday, Tuesday: 10:30 am - 6:30 pm. We also have additional hours/shifts available at our Palm Beach and Byron Bay sites for those looking for additional work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present delicious, nutritious meals for our residents
- Support bulk cooking operations, ensuring consistency and quality
- Provide exceptional customer service, making each meal experience special
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring the highest quality
Desired Skills And Experience
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar role, ideally in aged care or hospitality
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Solid attention to detail, excellent communication, and time management skills
- A genuine passion for cooking and serving others
