Join the Orange Aboriginal Medical Service (OAMS) team as a Casual Support Worker in a diverse role, providing care and support to our customers in our in home support team.
The role of the Support Worker- Commonwealth Home Support Programme
* Assist with Personal Care- this may be standby assist or actual hands on support while showering, drying, dressing, grooming etc. depending on participant need- promoting independence and capacity building
* House cleaning- support with keeping home clean and tidy. Duties and task will vary between participants- promoting independence and capacity building
* Social Support- community- Promote social inclusion, this may include outings to groups, support with shopping/errands.
* Transport- this is to take participants to and/or from appointments or places. Staff are not to stay with participant
Selection Criteria
* Driver's license and a fully registered and insured vehicle
* Current First Aid including CPR qualification.
* Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent (desired but not essential) or willing to complete certificate
* NDISWC and WWCC (or willingness to obtain)
