Position: Cleaning Team Leader
Location: Melbourne Youth Justice Centre, Parkville VIC
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday evening from 8:15 PM to 12:45 AM
Pay Rate: Starting from $34.71 per hour, plus penalty rates and Superannuation
Contract: Permanent Part‑Time
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the cleaning team, maintain standards, and communicate with management
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, including offices, reception, workshops, bathrooms, communal areas, and foyers
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, staircases, and surfaces
- Bio‑cleaning will also be required at times

Requirements
- Cleaning experience and team leadership skills
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check and Police Check (under 6 months)
- Legal right to work in Australia
- Perform cleaning tasks, including kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods (4+ hours)
- Pass a medical and drug & alcohol test
- Reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
