Mission Data (MD) Division within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) is responsible for providing the foundational data capabilities to support all of ASD's functions. We do this via the provision of data platforms and services, management of ASD's mission data, and providing complex analytic development and support, services.
We are seeking experienced Systems Integrators at the ASD4 and ASD5 level, with opportunities in multiple teams within the Division. These roles will position MD to uplift its current architecture and leverage contemporary cloud based design patterns.
Key duties for an ASD 4 & ASD 5 Systems Integration Specialist
* Contribute to delivery of assigned projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
* Contribute to the development of reliability and resilience processes.
* Analyse ASD capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Plan and develop improvements to ASD capabilities.
Key duties for an ASD 6 Systems Integration Specialist
* Take responsibility for end-to-end delivery of assigned projects by coordinating with stakeholders.
* Develop and improve reliability and resilience processes.
* Plan, develop and implement mechanisms that identify capability improvement opportunities.
Key duties for an EL1 Senior Systems Integration Specialist
* Plan, design and develop robust, scalable, and secure system architectures that meet the unique requirements of ASD.
* Respond to incidents and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure.
* Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
* Be accountable for managing and leading a team, including providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people.
* Ensure that systems comply with security standards and regulations, such as the Information Security Manual (ISM) and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
* Demonstrate interpersonal skills to foster and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with ASD values.
* Provide support and guidance to developers and other team members on cloud best practices.
