About the Role- Stable, supportive and diverse Mechanical Fitter opportunity- Dynamic and supportive team- Permanent position based in our Bayswater Power Plant location
As the Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance activities associated with the plant and infrastructure at all AGL Bayswater site. Pivotal to this will be to work in a team as well as autonomously to observe, monitor and maintain all generation plants and systems.
What you'll be doing:
- Performing routine and breakdown maintenance as well as inspection and monitoring of assets including the installation and commissioning- Preparing work records and reports including input into SAP- Demonstrating flexibility to perform duties utilising other skills and competencies providing legal, safe & sensible- Demonstrating capability to conduct a risk assessment and proactively implement controls to mitigate risk- Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environment systems are adhered to while meeting the organisation's policies and standards for HSE management- Receiving Access Authorities as requested and progress to Recipient in Charge (RIC) if required- Supervising service providers/contractors to ensure work is conducted to an appropriate standard and in a safe manner- Demonstrating the AGL values by acting in the best interests of AGL at all times
About You
What you'll bring to the table:
- A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting with proven experience in the maintenance of power generation assets, large rotating plants or infrastructure will be highly desirable- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment as well as independently- Strong problem-solving, planning skills and safety awareness- Sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively utilise computer software products ideally SAP
This role offers stability and further career progression to someone who is flexible and willing to work as part of our team. A full clean driver's licence is required to travel to other Bayswater sites.
