**In this role, you will be responsible for**:
Asset and Maintenance Management:
- Supervise the day to day maintenance and operational activities at the City's major facilities in line with the Facility Asset Management Plan.
Facility Management:
- Supervise and review maintenance work on Council's building assets to ensure organisational and contractual targets and standards are being achieved.
- Review and monitor programmed maintenance activities, to ensure that the day to day tasks are undertaken.
- Carry out minor maintenance duties in order to restore and maintain the standard of Council buildings and assets, as required.
- Carry out inspection of Council buildings.
- Carry out programmed maintenance activities, including incidental street sign and parking sign maintenance, as required.
- Possession of, or significant progression towards an appropriate qualification in Building Services and/or Construction or comparable field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- _Previous relevant experience working within the Building Industry at an equivalent level preferably including _contract administration, asset management and project management_._
- Ability to supervise staff and/or contractors
- Well developed interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
- Valuable written communication skills, including the ability to conduct relevant research and write clear and concise letters and reports.
- Ability to prepare and monitor budgets.
