Business Development Manager / Technical Industrial Products / Electrical / HVAC / Motors

This is a hands‐on BDM role based in NSW and covering sales across Australia and New Zealand.

You will be operating across two complementary industrial product areas: motor/load‐control electronics and heating element technologies.

* One side has an established customer and distributor base to re‐engage, develop, and grow. This is the fostering relationships and developing extended reach with existing customers.
* The other half of the role is a genuine new‐business build with a new product portfolio and major scope to win customers, revive dormant relationships, and create a stronger market presence.

Both businesses are established with heaps of backing.

Once technical product orientation is complete, you will ideally spend most of your time with customers in NSW and beyond. Your remit is to map markets, build on existing relationships, grow territories, add new customers and eventually expand geographically (initial focus and scope in NSW is huge).

You will be out with customers, attending trade events, mapping target sectors, building pipeline, qualifying opportunities, and turning technical conversations into commercial outcomes.

We are looking for a combination of:

* Technical B2B sales experience in industrial, electrical, HVAC/R, automation, engineered products, OEM, component, or channel environments.
* Both hunter and farmer mindsets.
* Enough technical credibility to speak with engineers, distributors, production teams, purchasing contacts, and decision makers.
* The discipline to follow opportunities through properly.
* The confidence to build territories, gain repeat business and turn traction into sustainable growth.

The role will suit someone who likes the blend of:

* New business development.
* Customer discovery.
* Distributor and channel development.
* Existing account growth.
* Trade‐event follow‐up.
* Technical sales support.
* Opportunity qualification.
* Proposal development.
* Regular pipeline reporting.

This is a growth role with strong backing, a broad product platform, and a real opportunity to shape the market.

Location base: Illawarra / Greater Sydney region.

Territory: Australia and New Zealand.

Work pattern: external, customer‐facing, regular onsite touchpoints during onboarding, planning, forecasting, and key milestones.
