About the Role As the SAP Functional Business Analyst, you’ll be a key contributor to Goodstart’s SAP Readiness Initiative. This foundational project will assess current gaps, document manual processes, and establish a roadmap for migrating to a cloud‑based SAP solution.
You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, SAP specialists, ICT, and business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, assess current SAP processes, and identify optimisation opportunities. Your focus will be on aligning business processes with future‑state SAP platforms, including Public Cloud (Greenfield) or Private Cloud (Brownfield) options.
Key Responsibilities
Engage stakeholders to uncover inefficiencies and workarounds in current SAP usage
Analyse legacy systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) and current data sources
Lead workshops and interviews with users, including those resistant to change
Collaborate with SMEs, integration owners, solution architects, and technical teams
Document current versus future state requirements and present findings
Identify risks related to data integrity, system integration, and compliance
Support the PM with evidence‑based business cases and risk assessments
Contribute to planning for data migration, governance, and security
Ensure alignment with BAU operations and facilitate smooth post‑project transition
About You You’re an experienced SAP Business Analyst with deep expertise in SAP Finance, Payroll, and HCM modules.
Must‑Haves
Proven experience as an SAP Functional Business Analyst (non‑negotiable)
Experience with SAP HXM (preferably Cloud) and SAP migration projects
Strong process mapping and gap analysis skills across finance, payroll, and integrated systems
Confidence in managing stakeholder resistance and driving consensus
Experience with large, complex data environments and legacy system integrations
Ability to identify and document risks and opportunities across interconnected systems
Excellent communication and facilitation skills to build relationships and guide change

Project has solid executive sponsorship and momentum following a consulting phase
Payroll is a critical system – stability and continuity are key concerns
Integration across finance, HR, and custom modules tied to government reimbursements is in scope

Work Environment
