The Production Manager will be responsible for supporting and driving production.

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager for the South Australian manufacturing facility.
The Production Manager will be responsible for supporting and driving production.
Planning day to day and future Project Schedules & workflows with clear written instructions to workshop supervisors and the production team.
Whilst striving for continuous improvement, which involves identifying roadblocks and barriers limiting production.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Always focusing on safety "no harm policy" as priority
- Identify & implement where improvements can be made by leading and coaching others to enhance productivity.
- Driving production efficiencies / productivity gains through the workshop through effective planning and communication considering lean manufacturing always.
- Problem solving within a team environment
- Production Plan - ensure information is provided in a timely manner to the workshops to allow them to meet their expected deadlines, ensure drawings and other information flow correctly to the floor
- Ensuring equipment maintenance is scheduled in a timely manner
- Effective liaison between Project and Production teams (All departments QA, Admin, Projects & Production)
- Identify and organise workshop fabrication drawings, CNC programs, cut lists as needed
- Assisting projects to produce MTOs and material shortfalls from workshop
- Facilitate communications between Projects and Team Leaders to ensure timely flow of information to the workshop and to manage priority setting between workshops, engineering design and drawing office.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing & fabrication/production facility
- Engineering degree or trade certificate and working experience and leadership
- Welding Degree or Advanced Fabrication Certificate (i.e. completed apprenticeship )
- Comprehensive understanding of quality and OH&S;
- Microsoft Office competency
