Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Demi (Pastry) Chef to join our Banquets kitchen team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin. You will be managing inventory control, ensuring compliance with hazard analysis and critical control points and food safety across our back‐of‐house operations. What will you do?
* Design, prepare, and present high‐quality pastries and desserts with creative flair
* Develop menus, estimate food and labor costs, and secure food supplies while managing the departmental budget
* Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to hazard analysis and critical control points, and food safety
* Collaborate and assist team members with various kitchen duties, as well as engaging guests to enhance the first‐class guest dining experience
More About You
* Diploma in Professional Cookery Level 5, or equivalent
* Food Safety Supervisor certificate is beneficial
* 2+ years' experience monitoring food and labour cost, menu costing, and development
* Experience ordering inventory, as well as procedures including cost controls, and handling invoices
* Ability to work a variety of shifts over a 7‐day‐a‐week roster
