About Us

First Step Support Services was founded in 2023 with one simple mission: to make the world an easier place to navigate for Neurodivergent children. The owner, Shay, faced this challenge during schooling years, and later discovered she was Neurodivergent. We don\'t just preach lived experience — we live and breathe it every day, and it is evidenced in our practice. Almost 2 years later, we service a multitude of areas in regional Victoria, with a focus on Neurodivergent participants. Almost 80% of our client base are children. While we are passionate about providing equitable and safe support to those we care for, we are equally committed to safe, supportive, and equitable workplaces. We highly encourage those with lived experience to apply. Our goal is to support you and what you want your career to look like. Do you want to specialise? Move into a management role? All achievable here.
