HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANICS / FITTERS - WELLINGTON, NSW
BDS Mechanical has a casual position with option for full-time after 3 months for Diesel Mechanics or Fitters to join our team in Wellington, NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, reputable, and stable company.
The successful candidates will possess the following:
- Relevant trade qualification
- Diagnostic experience
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Heavy earthmoving / CAT dozer experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- HR license (required)
- Aircon ticket (required)
- White card (required)
Your duties will include:
- Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
- General Repairs/maintenance works on heavy machinery
- Replacing engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
- Checking vehicle lighting systems
- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
