About the Role
We currently have an opportunity for a reliable and passionate Companion Carer to join our team in Albury. As a Companion Carer, you will be responsible for providing companionship and support to our clients, assisting them with daily errands, gardening and yard maintenance, and other tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, positive, and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You will need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful, and dependable.
Responsibilities
1. Work within a person-centred environment that respects the rights and needs of each client.
2. Assist clients with various gardening and yard maintenance supports.
3. Assist clients with daily errands, companionship, and support.
4. Provide support with academic, social, or recreational activities.
5. Prepare food if needed.
6. Observe, care, and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client.
7. Respond to emergency situations.
8. Work weekend and overnight shifts as rostered.
Requirements
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
* Current National Police Check.
* Current First Aid & CPR certificates.
* Current NDIS Worker Screening & Orientation.

Schedule: Afternoon shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday, Morning shift, Weekend availability
