About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to become a valuable part of our permanent full-time mine site team and truly put your mechanical skills to use.
You'll be a key player in the fault finding, repair, assembly, and rebuilding of mining equipment including hydraulics and earth moving components. You'll also be responsible for ongoing preventative maintenance, inspections and reporting.
About You
You have a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the ability to work independently as well as within a team. Your verbal and written communication skills are strong, and you can read and understand engineering drawings.
You're willing to travel at short notice and stay overnight when required. You're prepared to work in confined spaces and at heights, are physically fit enough to work within a plant environment, including climbing access stairs with tools and equipment.
Previous experience writing reports will be advantageous.
Successful candidates will have:
* Coal Board Medical
* Relevant Trade Qualification
* Standard 11 – Statement of Attainment
* High-Risk Work Licence (highly desirable)
* Working at Heights and Gas Test Atmosphere training
* Current driver's license (MR and HR beneficial)
* Demonstrated CHPP/processing plant or mining experience
