About The Role
As a Systems Engineer on our Technical Services team, you will maintain backup software and associated system infrastructure, ensuring customer data is protected. You may be based at any of our Australian offices and collaborate with engineers across the network.
Our offices are located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. Work arrangements include remote work and on‐site as required.
What You'll Do
* Provide operational support for backup systems
* Proactively manage backup systems with respect to capacity, performance and availability
* Implement changes to backup systems in line with best practice and vendor guidance
* Document procedures, solutions and recommendations accurately
* Mentor and assist team members on continual improvement and best practices
* Perform after‐hours and weekend work as required; work may be onsite or remote
What You'll Bring
* High level technical knowledge of backup software and solutions, especially Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup and Azure
* Experience with additional platforms such as TSM, Storage Craft, Rubrik, Backup Exec and EMC Networker is a plus
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills
* Ability to produce clear documentation for internal teams and customers
* Knowledge of Cloud, Storage and Tape Libraries; and understanding of application and database services such as SQL, Oracle and virtualization platforms is advantageous
* Strong commitment to continuous improvement and learning new technologies
Eligibility
Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain Baseline Security clearance.
