This is a unique chance to shape the future of da Vinci robotic‐assisted surgery in Australia. As the Market Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of da Vinci surgery in emerging specialties, developing surgeon champions, and expanding into new clinical indications. You'll work directly with surgeons, hospital executives, and cross‐functional teams to accelerate adoption of one of the world's most advanced surgical technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Building and supporting Key Opinion Leaders
* Establishing case observation sites and contributing to the development of future Epicenters
* Partnering with Clinical Sales, Capital Sales, Marketing, and Market Access to execute strategic market development initiatives
* Providing clinical and commercial insights to guide market strategy and training effectiveness
* Supporting product specialists and regional CSMs to elevate specialty sales capability
* Leading initiatives that drive utilisation, procedural growth, and adoption of new technologies
About You
We are looking for a high‐performing medical device professional who thrives in complex clinical environments and loves being at the forefront of surgical innovation. You build credibility quickly with surgeons, communicate confidently across diverse stakeholders, and excel at guiding others through change. You're commercially sharp, clinically strong, and energised by roles that blend strategy, hands‐on surgeon engagement, and cross‐functional collaboration. Most importantly, you're motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care through advanced minimally invasive surgery.
Experience Required
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in medical device sales, with a strong track record of individual sales excellence
* Demonstrated clinical selling capability and the ability to build trust with highly educated clinical stakeholders
* Strong clinical knowledge across multiple surgical specialties (Cardiac, Thoracic, or Colorectal experience highly desirable)
* Proven ability to influence peers, manage complexity, and operate effectively in environments of change
* Experience delivering training, coaching, or capability‐building programs
* Willingness to travel up to 2-3 days per week across Australia (50%)
