Senior Policy Officer – Economic and Regulatory Policy Unit
We are looking for a motivated Senior Policy Officer to join a small team of highly trained economists and policy officers within the Economic and Regulatory Policy Unit of ACT Treasury. In this role you will work on key elements of core projects, collaborate across government sectors, and provide economic assessment and policy advice that contributes to the wellbeing of Canberrans.
Responsibilities
* Lead and progress key elements of core economic and regulatory policy projects.
* Collaborate with other government agencies to develop and implement policy initiatives.
* Provide economic and policy assessment, including advice on National Competition Policy reforms, climate change policy, energy reforms, utility pricing and regulatory policy.
* Contribute to the implementation of government initiatives that promote the wellbeing of residents.
Qualifications
* Tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
* Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid work visa.
Employment Details
* Temporary position from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028, with the possibility of permanency.
