About the Job
The role of Senior Financial Leader is a key position within our finance team.
This role involves leading a small team and being responsible for financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and tax compliance.
* Responsibilities include managing monthly payroll, leave accruals, superannuation, and salary sacrifice arrangements.
* Oversee invoicing, payment processing, and bank payments.
* Handling all taxation matters (Payroll Tax, GST, Company Tax, BAS, IAS, PAYG, FBT, TPAR).
* Preparation of end-of-month reconciliations, journals, and maintenance of balance sheet and profit & loss statements.
* Production of management quarterly reports, budget reports, and annual financial reports.
* Providing advice on new business lines and supporting new verticals in Accounting and Finance.
* E nsuring business compliance with state, territory, and international requirements.
* Supporting business operations, including client timesheet, invoice, and travel procedures.
* Management of external audits and assignment of tasks within the team.
* Maintenance of shared admin account emails and confidentiality.
* Certain roles may require occasional travel within Canberra and interstate.
