The Department of Emergency at Mackay Base Hospital has opportunities for Registrars / Principal House Officers to join the team on a Temporary Full‐Time basis (76 hours per week).

* A Principal House Officer or Registrar is a medical practitioner in the fourth or subsequent year of practical experience after eligibility for full registration.
* This role requires participation in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable clinical service to hospital clients, and contribution to continual improvement of medical education and dissemination of knowledge to staff and clients.
About The Emergency Department
The Emergency Department has 21 acute bays, including 2 resus bays, 4 high dependency bays, 12 consult bays and a 14‐bed short‐stay unit. It is accredited for Specialist Fellowship Training by ACEM, ACRRM Advanced Skills Training (AST) and RACGP Core Generalist Training (CGT). It is a Tier‐3 training site for a 12‐month training program in Emergency Medicine.
