First Nations Personal Carer Traineeship | BlueCare | Community Care
We are currently seeking Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individuals who are interested in pursuing a rewarding career as a Personal Carer.
* Employment Status: Maximum Fixed Term - Part Time
* Location: Canungra, Mount Tamborine, Ormeau & Surrounding areas
* Remuneration: $32.69 per hour + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM's) + Employee discounts
* The Program: Complete a Certificate 3 in Individual Support with us, while you earn an income. We'll connect you with government funding, so you complete the certificate at no cost.
In this role, you will support residents in our community, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life through meaningful daily interactions and activities.
About the Role
As a Personal Carer Trainee, you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.
* Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
* In-home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
* Providing care in accordance with their individualized Care Plan
* Supporting with community-based recreational and social activities
* Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.
Role Requirements
* A genuine interest in completing a Cert III in Individual Support
* Current Australian driver's licence and roadworthy vehicle - Essential
* Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.
* Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
