Salary Range: $89,525 - $102,735 per annum + Super (pending experience)
Townsville Catholic Education is seeking an Accountant to join our Financial Services team based in Townsville. Reporting to the Team Leader, Group Accounting, you will support the financial operations of one of North Queensland's largest education providers, ensuring accuracy, integrity and efficiency of financial processes across our office and school network.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the general ledger and perform reconciliations
* Account for assets and prepare financial reporting
* Administer financial systems and support system enhancements
* Assist with capital procurement activities and oversee compliance obligations
* Collaborate with finance colleagues and school stakeholders to improve financial processes and support decision‐making
Qualifications
* Experience in a broad finance or accounting role
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Proficient with financial systems, data and reporting
* Ability to identify issues, investigate solutions and build positive working relationships
* Experience with TechnologyOne or a similar financial management system is highly regarded
