Alstonville Optometry is a well-established independent practice known for personalised care, quality eyewear, and a genuinely supportive team. We're looking for an Optical Assistant/Dispenser to join us 2–3 days per week in a hands‐on, patient‐focused role.
The Role
This is a varied position where you'll be involved across the full patient journey - from first impression to final fit.
You'll be:
* Styling frames and guiding patients through lens options with confidence
* Providing accurate dispensing and measurements
* Supporting adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting
* Assisting with reception, bookings, and day‐to‐day practice flow
It's a role for someone who enjoys both the technical side of optics and the human side of patient care.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in an optical practice (dispensing or optical assistant role)
* A strong eye for style and confidence in frame selection
* Natural ability to build rapport and create a positive patient experience
* Solid organisation skills and confidence managing appointments and admin
* A team‐first mindset - someone who contributes, not just turns up
The Offer
* Casual position | 2–3 days per week (weekday roster)
* $35–$45 per hour, aligned with experience
* No weekends
