The progressive Shire of East Pilbara, the largest local government authority in Western Australia, servicing the town sites of Newman, Marble Bar, Nullagine and local communities, is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to undertake physical labour, work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat and remote worksites, and proficiency in completing basic records such as timesheets, daily pre-starts and maintenance forms. You will be reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team under supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Construction such as Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations) or a related field, or equivalent industry experience;
* Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated civil construction labourer experience including operation of plant and equipment (e.g. excavator, loader, grader, roller, water cart, etc);
* Basic mechanical knowledge of plant and equipment maintenance;
* A working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020;
* Construction Induction White Card;
* Current 'C' class Driver's Licence valid in Western Australia, preferably MR or higher.
