As an Area Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.You will be an inspiring leader in one of the following areas within the Fulfillment Center operations: receive, stow, pick, pack or ship, where you will work to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible.
Along with your peers, you'll ensure that all workflows run smoothly and that customer expectations are met, if not exceeded.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading and developing a team of Amazon associatesMaintaining Health and Safety standards within your remit area while promoting an inspiring Health and Safety culture on-siteDeveloping performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and qualityCollaborating with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectivesPartnering with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standardsReviewing work forecasts and determining requirements to produce during the day to meet overall business objectivesBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experienceWorking experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related fieldExperience as a manager involving sizable teams; natural at motivating others and building strong relationshipsDemonstrated ability in problem-solving and analytical capabilities: conducting and driving Dive Deep analysis on complex processesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenPreferred QualificationsDirect management experience for employees and their performanceExperience with performance metrics and process improvementFlexible to work weekends and/or shifts regularlyExperience in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookAcknowledgement of CountryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
