New and Experienced Disability Support Workers

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Ballarat. Role Overview: As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals with physical, intellectual, and/or sensory disabilities. Your responsibilities will include providing support with daily activities, personal care, community engagement, and promoting independence. You will work closely with individuals to support their goals and assist them in achieving a meaningful and rewarding life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care, including assistance with grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
* Support clients in daily living tasks, including meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
* Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments and activities.
* Foster independence and encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
* Collaborate with other support workers, families, and health professionals to develop individualised care plans.
* Monitor client progress and provide regular feedback to families and management.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times, adhering to policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or related field very highly desirable.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification.
* Valid Driver's License, reliable transport and full comprehensive insurance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and support.
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities in a support capacity is highly desirable.
Essential Checks and Clearances:
* National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check.
* Working with Children Check (if required).
* Police Check (current within the last 6 months).
* Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
