The Business
This is an opportunity to lead two well‐established businesses that help Australian organisations manage risk, respond to crises and maintain safe, compliant operations. The group brings together a practical, field‐based service provider and a consulting‐led advisory business, operating across sectors including financial services, facilties, government, aged care, education, construction and infrastructure.
Both businesses have strong client relationships and a solid track record. They are now coming together under unified leadership, with a clear ambition to operate as one business — more connected, more efficient and better positioned to grow. The CEO will have the opportunity to shape what that looks like, a rare opportunity for commercial and strategic creativity.
The Role
Reporting to the Group CEO and Board, the CEO will take full ownership of the combined business — its people, its clients, its financials and its future direction. The core of the role is integration and growth: bringing two businesses together into a single operating model, finding the commercial synergies between them, and building a platform that can scale.
Key priorities will include driving commercial uplift through improved pricing, cross‐sell and service diversification; leading a digital transformation agenda to modernise systems, streamline delivery and improve how the business uses data; managing costs and improving margins; and ensuring a consistently high standard of service across both businesses.
This is a hands‐on leadership role. You will be working closely with your leadership team to build culture, lift performance and create a business that is greater than the sum of its parts.
The Person
You are an experienced leader who has run a P&L and knows what it takes to grow a professional services business. You are comfortable with complexity and have ideally navigated a business integration or significant transformation before. You bring a practical, commercial mindset — you can read a business quickly, identify where the value is and make clear decisions.
You will have an appreciation for digital transformation — not as a technology project, but as a way of running a better business. Whether through smarter systems, improved data visibility or more scalable delivery models, you understand how to use technology to drive real commercial outcomes including use of AI to uplift productivity and operational efficiency.
You do not need to come from the risk or safety industry, but you would need to respect the importance of the work and earn the trust of specialists. You are a strong communicator, credible with a board, and the kind of leader people want to work hard for.
Only Australian citizens or PR holders will be considered. The role could be based in either Sydney or Brisbane; Melbourne is also a consideration but not preferred.
