About the role
As the Pathology Collector – Regional, you will be a key point of contact for patients, clinicians and community members accessing SA Pathology services. Reporting to the local Laboratory Manager, you will provide exceptional customer service and compassionate care while undertaking high-quality specimen collection. Your role will involve supporting the smooth and efficient operation of regional laboratory services, ensuring every interaction is carried out with professionalism, empathy and respect.
You will also assist with a range of essential laboratory support tasks, including specimen transport, sorting and labelling according to established protocols, and assisting with clinical duties as required. Working closely with laboratory staff, healthcare teams and referring clinicians, you will help maintain safe, accurate and timely specimen workflows that contribute directly to reliable diagnostic outcomes. - Experience – Experience in a pathology laboratory; experience working with information systems and databases; and experience responding to customer enquiries in a professional manner.
- Knowledge – Understanding of pathology laboratory operations and related workflows.
