About Gaza Ridge Health Centre
The Gaza Ridge Health Centre is located on Gaza Ridge South at Bandiana near Wodonga. The Albury Wodonga Military Area consists of 3 barracks and is home to the Army's Logistic Training Centre, Joint Logistics Unit Victoria and Schooling in various areas. This is a large base providing services to over 5000 Defence Force members. The health centre provides primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care. There is also a 20‐bed low dependency ward which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on‐call shifts).
This role is primarily Monday to Friday (day shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. After‐hours, weekend and on‐call shifts may be required depending on role requirements and base location. This is a fixed term contract until January 2027 with a possible extension.
What You'll Do
* Deliver nursing care to Defence personnel under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
* Provide outpatient care, and where required support inpatient care within a health centre or hospital setting
* Administer medications (where endorsed) in line with legislative requirements and clinical protocols
* Assist with patient assessments, treatment plans and health promotion activities
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient and high‐quality care
What You Bring
* Current unconditional and unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)
* Minimum two years' post registration nursing experience in acute care, primary healthcare or similar setting within the last five years
* Medication endorsement (if applicable to role requirements)
* Commitment to clinical governance, infection control and high-quality patient care
* Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
* Australian Citizenship required (baseline security clearance)
* Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development
