Role Overview
Swan Studio is looking for a Social Content Creator – Shooter/Editor to lead and execute video production across our fast growing agency. We work with some of Australia's leading brands to bring social creative to life.
This is a hands‐on role for someone who loves creating exceptional social creative. You will be shooting regularly across a wide variety of formats, from high fidelity DSLR content to fast moving lo‐fi iPhone style UGC.
You will work closely with Creative Strategists to transform performance driven concepts into compelling visual content designed for paid social platforms.
Alongside shooting, you will manage Swan Studio's internal production studio, coordinate shoots and videographers, and ensure the production function runs smoothly as the agency continues to grow.
This role suits someone who thrives in a lightning pace environment, enjoys solving problems on the fly, and takes pride in producing great work across a high volume of creative.
Working With Creative Strategists
At Swan Studio, creative concepts and campaign ideas are developed by our Creative Strategists. The Content Creator works closely with the strategy team to bring those ideas to life through exceptional production.
While you are not responsible for generating campaign concepts, we value someone who is highly production minded and able to interpret creative briefs and elevate them through thoughtful execution, framing, lighting, pacing, talent direction and practical shoot decisions.
Great candidates will be able to take a strong idea and make it even better through smart production choices.
Key Responsibilities
Videography
* Shoot high quality video and photo content across multiple brands and industries
* Produce a wide range of social creative formats including polished DSLR content, studio productions, lifestyle shoots and lo‐fi iPhone UGC
* Lead both studio shoots and on location productions
* Set up lighting, camera and audio to professional standards
* Direct on camera talent and guide performances
* Shoot with the edit in mind so content flows efficiently into post production
* Maintain strong technical and visual standards across lighting, composition and audio
Social First Creative Production
* Execute performance driven creative for paid social platforms such as Meta and TikTok
* Move fluidly between high fidelity brand content and authentic lo‐fi content styles
* Produce high volumes of creative across multiple brands and campaigns
* Work closely with Creative Strategists to interpret and execute creative briefs
* Bring a production mindset to shoots, identifying opportunities to elevate ideas through execution
Shoot Planning and Pre Production
* Organise shoots from concept through to execution
* Translate creative briefs into clear shoot plans
* Coordinate shoot logistics including schedules, locations, props and equipment
* Prepare call sheets and manage shoot day planning
* Source and organise props, wardrobe and set materials when required
Studio and Production Management
* Manage Swan Studio's internal production studio and ensure it remains organised and shoot ready
* Coordinate the weekly production schedule across multiple shoots
* Organise videographers and production resources
* Manage and maintain production equipment so everything is camera ready
* Build simple systems and processes that allow production output to scale smoothly
Post Production Collaboration
* Work closely with our editing team to ensure footage is captured efficiently for editing
* Provide guidance and feedback on footage quality and creative direction
* Help maintain Swan Studio's visual standards across final outputs
A Typical Week Might Include
* Shooting studio content for a paid social campaign
* Producing lo‐fi iPhone style UGC for a performance ad test
* Running an on location shoot for one of our brands
* Preparing props and set materials for upcoming productions
* Coordinating the shoot schedule for the week ahead
* Reviewing footage with the editing team and providing feedback
* Planning creative execution with Creative Strategists
What We're Looking For
* Strong videography experience with a portfolio demonstrating excellent visual taste
* Ability to shoot both polished DSLR content and authentic lo‐fi iPhone style content
* Strong understanding of lighting, camera operation and audio capture
* Strong production instincts and the ability to elevate ideas through execution
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple shoots simultaneously
* Someone who thrives in a lightning pace creative environment
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
* Bonus experience with editing or colour grading
Requirements
* Valid driver's licence
* Access to a car for location shoots
* Comfortable working in a fast moving production environment with frequent shoot days
