We are currently in the process of registering as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) offering nationally recognised qualifications. We are seeking proactive applicants interested in joining us at the foundation stage as our IT Specialist, responsible for establishing, maintaining, and supporting our technology infrastructure and digital systems.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, setting up tech systems from the ground up, and supporting staff and students with day-to-day IT needs. You will play a key role in building strong digital and technical foundations for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities – Systems Setup & IT Administration
* Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, networks, and other IT equipment.
* Set up user accounts, permissions, shared drives, and system access controls.
* Maintain and update internal systems (SMS/CRM/LMS) in collaboration with the compliance and academic team.
* Ensure data security protocols, backups, and storage processes are in place.
* Assist in the configuration and maintenance of AV equipment, cameras, and classroom technology.
* Manage IT inventories, licenses, and vendor/service contacts.
* Assist with website updates, Google Workspace/Microsoft 365 setup and system integrations.
Technical Support & Helpdesk
* Provide timely technical assistance to staff and students (in-person, phone, and remote).
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues.
* Support trainers and students with access to online learning systems and portals.
* Monitor network connectivity and escalate issues to third-party providers where required.
* Maintain clear logs of issues and resolutions for continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Experience in IT Support / IT Technician / ICT Helpdesk / System Administration.
* Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows/Mac, networking, and common software systems.
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.
* Strong communication skills and a friendly, supportive approach.
* Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
* Experience supporting SMS / CRM / LMS platforms.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and backup systems.
* Experience in education, RTO/VET sector or training environment.
* Ability to write simple user guides or provide basic tech training to staff/students.

Pay: $53,568.36 – $110,436.81 per year
