About the Role
In this role, you will assist our Boilermaker with a variety of workshop and site-based tasks while learning valuable hands‐on skills in fabrication, repairs, and maintenance work. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to get their foot in the door in the trade industry, with the potential to progress into a Boilermaker Apprenticeship for the right person. This is a residential role and applicants based in Karratha are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with boilermaker and fabrication tasks
* Using hand and power tools
* Grinding, cutting, and preparation work
* General workshop and labouring duties
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
* Supporting site maintenance and repair work as required
Requirements
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Interest in fabrication, welding, or becoming a Boilermaker
* Reliable and punctual
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Current Driver's Licence preferred
* Willingness to occasionally work weekends and flexible hours
* Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations
* Ability to pass a Medical, including a Drug & Alcohol test
* Capacity to thrive in a fast‐paced environment with attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills for efficient work
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
