About the Opportunity
Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, the HSE Coordinator supports the effective implementation of HSE systems and processes at the Kal East Gold Project. This role plays a key part in driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and supporting site-based risk management initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Partnering with leaders to promote a proactive safety culture
* Leading incident investigations and risk assessments
* Liaising with management, employees, contractors, and stakeholders on HSE matters
* Coordinating and delivering onsite safety training
* Overseeing medical and emergency response activities
* Coaching supervisors to improve incident investigation quality
* Maintaining a strong on‐site presence to provide practical support
* Monitoring safety performance and identifying improvement opportunities
* Supporting compliance with legislative and site safety requirements
About You
* Current Australian Driver's License
* Cert IV in Work Health & Safety
* Cert IV in Training & Assessment
* Strong experience in mining/resources in a similar role
* ICAM Lead Investigator experience
* Strong HSE and training knowledge
* Sound understanding of OHS legislation, risk, critical risk, and contractor management
* Knowledge of injury management and workers' compensation
* Demonstrated team leadership capability
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
* Proactive, solutions‐focused approach with a strong commitment to safety
* Experience with Incident Management and Emergency Response Functions
