**We're looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Field Service Fitter to join our team in Weipa to support our customers across power generation, remote stations, mine sites, council and civil construction industries.
This is a Permanent position designed for residential candidates seeking stability and growth, working a Monday to Friday roster.
**What you'll be doing** As a Field Service Fitter at Hastings Deering, you will:* **Deliver quality service –** Perform maintenance and repairs to the highest standard, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of customer equipment.
* **Expert troubleshooting** **–** Carry out fault-finding and diagnostics using Caterpillar systems to quickly identify and resolve issues.
* **Work to schedule –** Complete assigned tasks within required timeframes without compromising safety and quality.
* **Maintaining documentation –** Completing all service and compliance reports are completed promptly and correctly.
* **Follow the right procedures –** Research and apply the latest service information systems to adhere to proper instructions, specifications and standards.

**What you'll need:**A successful teammate will have experience in: * **Relevant qualification –** trade-qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent)* **Experience that counts** – previous experience working with CAT equipment highly regarded.
* **Strong mechanical background –** strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* **Organised and efficient –** ability to work autonomously and in a remote field environment.
* **Strong communicator –** excellent communication skills with a genuine customer focus.
