About the Role
In this impactful role, you will deliver intensive, strengths‑based and trauma‑informed support to young people aged 10–17 who are on bail or at risk of entering custody. You will work closely with young people and families across Brisbane to stabilise home life, strengthen relationships and increase positive engagement.
This role is a 6 month contract with extension dependent on funding. The role is a Monday to Friday position, working flexible hours between 8:00am–5:30pm

Key Responsibilities
- Provide intensive case management and family partnership support.
- Build strong, culturally responsive relationships with young people and families.
- Support access to education, employment, therapeutic services, housing, health, AOD and other supports.
- Complete assessments, case plans and goal setting in partnership with young people and families.
- Work collaboratively with Youth Justice, police, schools and community agencies.
- Coordinate support teams and assist young people to meet bail or order conditions.
- Provide practical support including transport, advocacy, referrals and appointment coordination.
- Maintain accurate documentation, data entry and reporting to required standards.
Role Requirements
- Availability to undertake on‑call duties one weekend per month, with compensation via TOIL or an additional allowance.
- Experience working with young people with complex needs and trauma backgrounds.
- Ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, families and community.
- Robust communication, de‑escalation and crisis‑management skills.
- Ability to develop rapport, set boundaries and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Youth Justice processes, community referral pathways and strengths‑based practice frameworks.
Probity Requirements
- Minimum Certificate III in Community Services or related field
- Current QLD Driver Licence
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a ‘Positive Notice’ Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain (the employer will cover this cost).
- Willingness to undergo a National Police and Criminal History Check (the employer will cover this cost).
Remuneration and Benefits
- SCHADS Level 4 - $88,099.44 – $94,791.84 per year + 12% super
- 6 month contract with extension dependent on funding
