About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Manager – Schools to lead the continued growth of our national schools business. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a strategically important division, working with State Departments of Education, Catholic education groups, independent school networks and major private schools throughout Australia. Reporting directly to the Divisional General Manager, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence, developing strategic partnerships and delivering sustainable revenue growth.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute national business development strategies across the education sector.
* Build and manage relationships with State Departments of Education and education procurement bodies.
* Grow partnerships with Catholic school groups and independent school networks nationally.
* Identify and secure new business opportunities within the school and education market.
* Manage selected strategic accounts within New South Wales.
* Prepare and coordinate tenders, proposals and major account submissions.
* Collaborate with sales, marketing and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
* Represent Victor Sports at industry events, conferences and exhibitions.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in business development, sales or key account management.
* A strong track record of delivering sales growth and developing strategic customer relationships.
* Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
* Strong commercial acumen and a results-focused mindset.
* The ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
* Experience working with education, government or procurement channels (highly regarded).
* Knowledge of the Australian schools or education market (advantageous).
* Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
* A current driver's licence.
