* Level OSE 3 | Salary: $74,979 - $77,768, plus superannuation
* A 9-day fortnight work pattern applies to these roles

The opportunity

We are seeking two (2) motivated and experienced Civil Maintenance Workers to join our team. These hands‐on roles are essential to maintaining the safety, functionality, and presentation of the City's infrastructure. You will be part of a team that takes pride in keeping Council's roads, footpaths and public assets in top condition.

The roles involve drainage works such as trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, compaction operations and operating plant on drainage construction sites, and a variety of civil maintenance tasks including kerbing, paving, concrete laying, reticulation and bitumen repair.

To be successful in these roles you will need:

* Current unrestricted HR (Heavy Rigid) class driver's licence
* Hold a current Construction Induction Training card (WhiteCard)
* Basic Worksite Traffic Management accreditation and possession or, or ability to acquire, accreditation in Traffic Control
* Relevant experience in a civil maintenance environment
* Experience in trenching, pipe laying, backfilling and compaction operations
* Experience in the safe and accurate operation of plant on drainage construction sites
* Competency in the use of concrete cutters, foot stamper, plate compactor, road making plant, general construction tools and equipment
* Knowledge of kerbing, paving, concrete laying, reticulation and bitumen repair techniques, methods and quality control procedures
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications

* *The salary for this role commences at step 1, with potential for movement within the range based on demonstrated skills and experience. Incremental progression typically occurs at the conclusion of each 12‐month period, in accordance with the Industrial Agreement.
