* Permanent, full‐time role based in Canberra and/or Melbourne with a "4 on-4 off" rotating shift pattern
* Salary determined by experience and aircraft type ratings, in accordance with Eastern Australia Airlines – Line Maintenance Aircraft Engineers Agreement 2023 starting at a base salary of $85,434
As the Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) you will be responsible for delivering quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard, while ensuring all OHS and safety compliance is adhered to. You will ensure that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the system of certification and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Additionally, you will be allocated tasks in accordance with the Procedures Manual and aircraft manufacturers Maintenance Manual requirements where you will perform rectification, servicing and maintenance of the QantasLink fleet aircraft and equipment.
To Be Considered For This Role You Will Have
* A current CASA LAME qualification with experience working in Heavy/Line Maintenance as an AME or LAME.
* Type rated on the Dash 8 – 400 or A220 preferred but not essential.
* Proven leadership capabilities and demonstrated ability to effectively supervise, coach and motivate teams.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively implement and manage change.
* Sound commercial awareness of daily operations.
* Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement principles.
* Highly developed problem‐solving skills, particularly when under pressure.
* Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within Qantas and other customers, particularly in the operational areas.
* Thorough understanding of Qantas maintenance procedures and quality requirements.
