About the Role
Reinhausen AU is seeking two Field Service Technicians to join their expert service team. This hands on role is ideal for a qualified electrical fitter/mechanic or licensed electrician with experience in transformer maintenance and on load tap changers (OLTCs). You'll work both independently and as part of a team, servicing high-voltage equipment across a range of customer sites. You'll travel across Australia and will be provided with learning and growth opportunities, as you refine your craft.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and maintain high-voltage OLTCs and related transformer components
- Perform diagnostics, resistance testing, and fault finding
- Install and commission transformer accessories, motor drives, and control systems
- Modify and assemble electrical components and wiring
- Use technical documentation, schematics, and procedures effectively
- Mentor junior technicians on-site and in training environments
- Maintain accurate service documentation and OH&S; compliance
- Liaise professionally with clients and internal teams
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Qualified Electrical Fitter or Licensed Electrician (or equivalent mechanical/electrical qualification)
- A full EWRB Practicing Licence in NZ
- A minimum of 3 years experience working with transformers/OLTC across ANZ or internationally
- Strong knowledge of power transformer functionality and components
- Comfortable with hands-on, technical field work, in remote environments and where you need to think on your feet
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, both electrical and mechanical with a passion for keeping up with the latest technologies and trends
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A safety-first mindset and team-oriented attitude
